Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AgileEdge ("we", "us") covering the VoiceCleaner app for iOS and iPadOS (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Because the App is distributed through the App Store, Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions also apply, and where they conflict with these Terms, Apple's terms take precedence for matters relating to the App Store.

2. What the App does

The App reduces background noise in audio recordings and in the soundtrack of video files using a neural network that runs on your device. Processing is automatic and results vary with the recording, the type of noise, and the device. We do not promise any particular level of noise reduction or that output will be suitable for a specific purpose.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the neural network model or any other part of the App, except where applicable law allows this despite the restriction. The App, its model, and its design remain our property.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the audio and video you process with the App. We never receive your content; it stays on your device. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record, process, and share the content you use with the App, including obtaining consent from other people where the law requires it. Do not use the App to process material that infringes someone else's rights or that is unlawful to possess.

5. Free tier and Premium

The free version of the App cleans the first 30 seconds of each file and leaves the remainder as recorded. Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks full-length processing for the life of the App on devices signed in with the same Apple ID. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

• Pricing is shown in the App before you buy and is set in your local currency by Apple.
• Payment, receipts, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. To request a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
• You can restore a previous purchase on a new device with the "Restore Purchases" button in the App.
• We may change the features included in the free tier or the price of Premium for future purchases. A purchase you have already made is not affected.

6. Backups and saved files

The App writes processed files only where you choose to save or share them. Files the App keeps while you work are temporary and may be removed when you start over, close the App, or delete it. Keep your own copies of any recording you care about before processing it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App in any way that breaks the law, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with the operation of the App Store. You also agree not to misrepresent processed audio as an unaltered original where that would mislead or harm someone.

8. Updates and availability

We may release updates that change or remove features, and we may stop distributing the App at any time. Updates are delivered through the App Store. Some updates may require a newer version of iOS than you currently have installed.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error free, that noise will be removed to your satisfaction, or that processed output will be free of artefacts.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, recordings, or profits arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for Premium, or, if you have not purchased Premium, to zero. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

11. Apple as third-party beneficiary

Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may terminate your licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 4, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AgileEdge is established, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where the consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you additional rights that cannot be waived.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App changes. The current version is always available at this page, with the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
